Poem I wrote a few years ago

I tend to like poems that either have a puzzle or a punch line. This is one I wrote several years ago during which I was played with a similar motif and theme in several different poems. Perhaps I’ll post more another time, but I was revisiting my writings and found this and thought I’d share. Enjoy!

Numbered Yarn

One by one
The yarn passes the board

Little by little
They fill the green

And each and every
Fills its teeth

While every and each
Winds its chord

While all the rest
Keep on mounting
All the while
I keep on counting

Counting,
Till I sleep…

Always counting,
Blasted Sheep.

Yes, there are people who have started stitching the full image together, but we’d like to warn you that the full image is not safe for work. Not that there are any naughty bits, but the full-size image is so large it will crash most computers if you try to open it.” http://xkcd-map.rent-a-geek.de/#8/1.837/-35.997 works really well if you want to see the whole thing it’s zoomable and doesn’t all load at once so it’s not particularly taxing
